      Women often tease a man who may have a receding hair line or male pattern baldness when it starts to becomes noticeable. But there are several reasons why women should never tease a man because they too can have pattern baldness. For females, pattern baldness is becoming more common and for several reasons. Female Pattern baldness can be genetic just like male pattern baldness. For men the most common areas for pattern hair loss includes around the temple area and the top of the head. Women can also see the pattern baldness taking affect in these areas as well.

      When a female notices hair loss that is suddenly and may be very noticeable it may be a health problem and needs to be monitored by your doctor. But if the thinning is slow and gradual then she may not be able to stop it, especially if the women in her family have been suffering from the same condition.

      What causes female pattern baldness? Enzymes start to transform the testosterone hormone that is found in all women to a dihydrotestosterone. This will make the follicles becomes smaller in size until they disappear so no hair can get through the pores and gradually cause hair thinning. If you suffer from any conditions or diseases such as Diabetes or Hypothyroidism you may be able to treat your condition and stop the hair loss.

      Hair loss does not always happen suddenly because the hair grows at a slow rate. You may notice a few months after a condition starts that you are losing your hair which in turn is a signal that something was wrong. Sometimes we do not pay attention to these signals when we should.

      Living with female pattern baldness can be an emotionally trying time for a woman. She may feel as though she doesn't look acceptable, unattractive, or depressed over the thinning hair. But there are other alternatives to improving your hair and slowing down or stopping the hair damage. Choosing the right one for you may take several tries but it will be worth it when you find the right one for you.
